Scripture declares in Genesis 2:7 AMP - then the Lord God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit].
It caused me to think about the anxiety of the world on this Easter 2020 and how a Risen Savior defeated death. Then I thought of the mockery, disbelief, and very breath God gave humans and how humans have used it to denounce Christ.
If Jesus came to give life and we are to have life more abundantly the same holds true for his advisory whom came to steal, kill, and destroy.
God gave us breath and the Devil has us afraid to breathe. Consider the mindset. We are relational beings and the devil via a virus has caused us to stop breathing.
Whether you think this virus is man-made, or it came from a bat, even if you think it's a coverup for the powers that be can do their bidding. It's all demonic and mimic's God's breath that he breathe into Adam.
This morning my Pastor, Pastor Miller of DuPage AMEC, taught that maybe we'll appreciate service and not take it for granted when we're next able to congregate. Maybe we'll appreciate a holy hug. Maybe we'll begin to appreciate entering into His gates with thanksgiving and entering into His courts with praise. ---Has new meaning when you think about it this Easter Sunday.
Just as God has risen, the devil has a schematic plan to rise and we have to be mindful of his devices. Put on the WHOLE armor of God is what scripture declares that you may protect yourselves against the wiles of the devil for just as God has Risen, the devil has mimicked and risen.
